why would you want to get lock off WiFi? I want to prevent any chance accidental firmware update. Especially if someone else handles the PSP without my direct supervision. The forced update by those games is directly updating your system with the file in the UMD(of course you must select the update...

Yes, MGA JP Ver. can connect to PS2 and give MGS3 some special items, and another game: ARMORED CORE FORMULA FRONT both on psp and ps2 can communicate the data on both platform. so the communication between psp and ps2 isn't a problem.
