I got it all working. I had to go out and buy some new CD's. The ones I was using were crap. Just basically made a CD with naplink on it, called the file on the CD BOOT.ELF and replaced the BOOT.ELF in the BADATA-SYSTEM dir. Now when the PS2 boots up with a compatible CD in the drive, the exploit lo...

Getting Naplink on the memory card?

Allright. I've got PS2Menu running now. How do I get an ELF, such as NAPLINK or a small compiled program of my own, onto a memory card. Is this even possible? Everything seems to assume I have an ethernet adapter for the PS2. I do not. Is there ANY way I can get NAPLINK running on the PS2? I seem to...

Most of the programs I have in mind are HUGE. As is nearly 300MB of info. The code itself isnt big obviously, but the supporting media (textures, meshes, whatnot) is.

Get a network adapter instead. Instead of what? A modchip? Or the PL cable? I've thought about that, but the idea is to NOT have to run the exploit all the time. I have no plans on using a modchip for copying games, we get quite a few free ones here at the office, and ones we dont get for free, I h...

BUY ME A MODCHIP!

Or better yet, you buy, I pay. I dont really want to mess with exploits too much, I just want to pop in a disk of my compiled code and have it work. If you could, please make some suggestions for mod chips, and your thoughts on them, I'd really appreciate it. I'll be using the PL-2301 cable and the ...

I applaud your efforts and wish you well. One thing I've been very impressed with (for the most part) around here is the lack or trolls that frequent the X-Box development scene. Most everyone is extremely helpful and patient. Not like "HA HA you stupid n00b! What a dumb question!" One thi...

Dear god...not tub girl....shudder. I wasnt trying to sound indignant . My original question wasnt even addressed. And I'm not dropping ANYTHING into others laps. I was merely asking for help on finding a demo disk. The idea was to keep things as cheap as possible. I do have a proper USB cable (PL23...

Using a demo disk to boot your stuff is old... do a search on the forum for info on using the Independence Day exploit and ps2menu. This is the preferred way of running ps2link or naplink (I use it to do both). K then. Problem is, I'd like NOT to have to buy anything else to get this up and running...

Getting a hold of a demo disk.

So I've got my PS2 here, with the PL2301 cable and no demo disk from which to make an ISO. I'd like to start getting into some PS2 development, but I can't progress any further until I get this step done and over with. Any suggestions on where I can get a hold of said demo disk? Its an NTSC PS2 BTW....
