Does anyone know if a HQ audio build of the standard PMP Mod (2.02) was ever created? thanks

No hurry here either. I went back to divx pmp's. I get 220fps encoding speed for divx vs 40fps encoding speed for AVC. 5x the speed > watching vids in the XMB. :)

uNn99,

Any chance we could get a quick update of your great app to allow for MP4 AVC output for 3.03 OE-B? Many thanks for your app, it's been a lifesaver.

yawoo,

AVItoPMP contains patched versions of mencoder (for all CPUs) that output pmp-compatible AVC, it's a great program for conversion. Check it here[/url]

Did anyone have any luck on recompiling mencoder.exe with the modified x264 library for compatability with PMP AVC?

I prefer mencoder for encoding on machines which I can't install codecs (needed for AVS scripts/Vdub) or .net framework (xvid4psp) on.

jonny, Very impressed with 2.01, excellent work! The nice OSD works great, the mods are no longer needed. And no silly transparency needed for me, I'm perfectly happy. With regards to your comments about ME/2.0+, just out of curiousity, does this mean that sleep mode might be available in the future...

jonny I can't say how excited I am about the premise of no longer having to resize the video. I wouldn't worry about converting 48k to 44.1k hz as that only takes mere seconds in mencoder.

Jonny you've done it again! Unbelievable, this passed my Q3 VBR torture divx flawlessly without a single audio pop! For the heck of it, I did a head-to-head matchup with the same clip against PSPlayerMT and the difference was night and day (the latter was full of pops and out of sync). You're a geni...

It still had trouble with my torture xvids (Q3 VBR heavy activity), less popping than pmpmod, but still noticeable. So yes, it is faster to a degree, maybe 1-3%. It's nice that it accepts avi straight up and has sleep mode, it'll be interesting to see how it comes along. But for now, I'm sticking wi...

I've experienced the same HF-background noise that Eingang has, in fact, I'm surprised it's not reported more often. As far as I'm aware, it has nothing to do with either PMPmod nor any video codec. It seems to be inherent with AC3 audio sources when converted to 2-channel cbr mp3. I've been able to...

Great app uNn! In your next update, could you add a shutdown after conversion checkbox? I've been manually adding "shutdown -s" to the bat file, but if I edit the bat within the program, it will append "pause" at the end, so the string comes out "shutdown -spause" and d...

This happened at application start-up both times, 4 pmp's in my video directory.

Now that I think of it, I did use UMD Emu for the first time in months yesterday both times before the problem occured, I have an inkling that this was related.

Twice yesterday when I started PMP M4g3, it just showed a blank blue screen and locked the PSP (reminded me of the dreaded Windows BSOD). I had to do a full power-down/restart. xxxstarmanxxx Had you tried using the unsharp=l3x3:1:c3x3:1 command when using libavc? Also, it's good that point out you used the "Libavc Divx codec", as referring to it as just "divx" the way the mencoder front-ends do (Winmenc, PSP Simple, etc), is somewhat of a misnomer. Sin...

miemt11 It was difficult to tell the difference between your 3 Smallville samples. Because the vrate was so low, artifacting was consistent in all of them. I'll agree that we can set lower standards for TV encodes, but I still prefer watching my shows w/o artifacts. :) xxxstarmanxxx Great work on t...

Tip: Styles can be applied quickly to selected text.

Fxp - 272>256, so you're streching the vertical by not keeping the aspect ratio intact. 608x256 should be rescaled to 480x200 to keep the proper AR, you can then zoom later on in playback to your preference using malloc's mod. Try PSPMPverter .9.1, it has a great AR calculator. jo2k - he wouldn't wa...

This encode produces NO audio/frame issues at all - It looks like all my problems (and a few others) were with the CPU hungry Xvid codec! From my findings, I completely agree. I've done 1500kpbs or quant-3 encodes in divx and libavc with no audio issues whatsoever. xvid encodes of the same source a...

wooolF , Stick with the PMP version you have now if it's older. malloc's latest revision (M3) with the nice interface is the one with the increased xvid audio issues unfortunately. If you could do an un-sharpened encode at the either of the high levels (1200 or quant2), that would be great, thx. hy...

2) Yes, as you don't have to resize it (reencode). You're still forced to reencode by just applying the crop (this might have been implied in your response, I wasn't sure). Since any reencode will sacrifice some quality from the original, it might be a wash as to whether the crop output quality wou...

wooolF & yawoo, Have either of you tried the zoom features in malloc's latest mod (M3)? If the black bars are inherent in your source, I'm not sure how well it would work. But simply for zooming 4:3 video to fill 480x272 (by sacrificing a bit of the vertical picture), it works really well. I jus...

I can also confirm the ticking/popping on my own 900kpbs xvid encodes, I'm going to test the earlier mods to determine whether it's only related to M3. (edit - I was previously running 1100kbps divx files with no problem, so this may be an xvid-only issue.) malloc, great work on the mods! I think th...
