I have sound now, not sure what happened.

V fast encoding with Mencode, nice app.

The application can not detect sound format on avi files. HAve tried avi with mp3 sounds and avi with ac3 sound.

I think this is more of a mencoder issue, as ffmpeg base convertor detects the sound source fine.

Please help.

I cant take anything less than 768kbps. Before PMP Mod release i was using AVC 768kbps @ 368x208. Now full res is 40% more pixels with Xvid or divx which is less superior than AVC.

I will try PSPMPVerter 0.99 and post my finding.

I am still getting audio stutter at 25fps 1000kbps Xvid 480x272.
Should I drop the fps to 23fps or the bitrate?
Is there a limit in terms of data throughput that PMP 1.02 can handle?

Thanks Johnny, 1.02 is working fine for me. Xvid @ 1000kbps (29.97fps), no audio problems. Audio stutter stills occurs which I use 1200kbps or above on 29.97fps. I have also tested 15000kbps Xvid @ 25fps and no audio stutter. This has lead me to believe audio stutter is to do with fps and not bitrat...

Add
-passlogfile "%2_PMP_2pass.log" -ovc xvid -xvidencopts pass=2
to the 'General Video Option' and u will get 2 pass in Xvid format.

Check Mencoder documentation to add additions paraments.

yeah, i was using 1200 kbps Xvid which looked awesome but had audio skip issue. 768 kbps is ok but not as good obviously but at least I dont get audi skip. I have also tried 900 / 1000 / 1200 / 1500 kbps and they all give me audio skip.

As for the file size it is probaby due to PMP is running 480*272 and PSPVideo9 @ 368*208.

Much better than PSPVideo9 @ 368x208 AVC @768kbps / 2 - pass, AAC 64kbps. However, the files are larger but i dont care.

Please add H.264 codec.
