Re: Incompatible formats

I do have one little issue, though: There are certain files (some WMV and MP4 stuff) which play fine in VLC on my PC, but become completely garbled when I try to stream them. This is kinda odd, since I though transcoding would take care of that. Is this a PMPVLC issue, or is VLC to blame? I have no...

I know I am slow and didn't try it earlier and now I have this app working 101% for me. I finally got to stream all my files which was the only thing I couldn't figure out due to lack of experimenting. All I had to do was have them in a folder in the root of the drive. I have a shared folder in My D...

Eagerly awaiting the next release Jocky for the new features and what not. The current one is working great except for my streaming files over a network. I did change the filepath to a simpler name i.e. D:/Shared and put all my music and movies in seperate folders within it but no luck. Anyway, I'm ...

Yes, I use the modified VLC from page 1 of this post. When streaming DVD's and Live TV my cpu is only at about 35%-40% and I have other stuff running too. I have an AMD 64 3000+ and 1 GB of RAM. Only thing I haven't tried is is deleting the cache and preference directory manually, I let the installa...

Ok, I finally got AVC working with Live TV and files on the memory stick, but not for streaming DVDs for that I use non-AVC. AVC with live TV is still very choppy to be watchable. When trying to stream DVDs in AVC mode it crashes VLC running on the PC. I can't for some reason get the network files t...

Huzzah! for the update. Now that it streams with better resolution. Should I still be using sout=#transcode{vcodec=DIV3,vb=600,width=360,height=272,fps=25,acodec=mp3,ab=48,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=http,mux=ogg,url=0.0.0.0:1234}...

You are doing God's work by allowing me to watch TV on the PSP, I have my fingers crossed for channel browse feature. BTW, how do I have VLC scan my channel list? Cheers.

@aface and @Porkape: could you post a screenshot of the DirectShow dialog. Are the video and audio devices shown in the listboxes or do you simply take 'default'? EDIT: no need for that screenshot. I overlooked the "Refresh list" buttons which must be clicked before selecting a video or a...

Thanks a lot for this great app. It works great except for a little issue with TV viewing. My line-in port on my soundcard isn't detected by my TV card for some reason so I have been using the mic port for audio input from the TV card and it works fine when watching TV using the ATI utility/Winamp e...
