ok, after 2 days extensive googling, this method described here: http://ps2dev.org/kb.x?T=593 is the only way I've found to get custom stuff to run on the ps2 that doesn't nessicarly require anything else than what came with the ps2 and a cd burner. Now, that said, you do have to have the demo disk ...
