I don't mind saying it... I don't have much to add to the PSP Dev discussion, but, I continue to lurk, mainly because I'm interested to see the growth... and other reasons. It's quite interesting to me.
... no comments at this point, but I just wanted to express my opinion about how I'm glad ooPo started this thread. great idea. some of you know where my day job is, and that's cool... and it's nice to see the growth in the last few days ;)
I can't site sources... but I've heard more along the lines of June for another firmware release/update. These days... the dates are constantly changing - ie - the European release. However... as a general user (and not as an employee who has heard anything)... one has to wonder what the USB keyboar...
Yes, I understand it does not play videos without audio, but I need an automated way to add that audio track. I'll try the ffmpeg forums. You want to add an audio track (maybe silence?) to the video you are encoding? Maybe I slightly misunderstood the original post. In ffmpegX, under the Audio tab,...
... not meaning to flame ya too much, but where did you read that an electronic device has to be perfect in every way, all the time? i'd be hard pressed to show you any of my digital devices without something odd about them, regardless of the brand associated with it. it's just the nature of technol...
I have 2 of them. Both work really, really well. No problems, as of yet. In fact, my boss ordered his ScanDisk model, and was having issues with it on a Mac/PSP transfers (the Mac wouldn't see the MS in the end). But, I bought the Sony model, and it's really quite nice. It transfers quite fast as we...
... messed around with this app last night. seems pretty good. it uses the ID3 tags to create a thumbnail for the mp3 tracks, as well. however, it didn't on some tracks, some i'm wondering which version of ID3 it can handle.
I'm mostly held behind NDA, but, there is a recent grey area... ...and, I'm removed from the more technical aspects, but, I do enjoy reading and trying out stuff as an end user... and it might be useful for me to see what homebrew users are doing compared to licensees.
The correct folder name for videos is E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 (where E: is the drive letter of your PSP). ... when I've formatted the MS using the PSP, it actually creates a folder called 101MNV01, not 100MNV01. I read the threads here about the 100MNV01 folder, but, I too had problems. I used the PSP ...
But of course, you did know that, right ? :) ... yea, I knew the general basics, but I was more interested in what type of access. I've been working on building some very basic scripted menuing systems, which could potential run as jpg viewer of sorts (think slideshow)... but, I'm using tools which...
... what do you actually want to do if you can gain access to the device? You want to be able to simulate UMD games or movies? Or something else altogether? I know you can easily simulate the UMD movie title experience by actually copying the data which would appear on the UMD image to a memory stic...
do you need the firmware upgrade to wirelessly connect??? no. you use the wi-fi connection to join a local wi-fi network, to receive firmware upgrades. there are 12 known bugs with version 1.0. the us will ship with version 1.5, which addresses 9 of those known bugs. i'm guessing after the us relea...
Wow.... some really hot tips in here. Especially for someone who's doing all of this from a Mac. I just encoded a few music videos I had, created thumbs and copied them to the PSP over a standard USB cable. Pretty nifty... From what I've heard from SMEJ, there might be a possibility to have an anima...
