Settle down, people are going to warez no matter what, you do gooders cant stop it. Personally I look forward to downloading several roms per day. ha ha ha ha.
BTW any homebrew work you do just helps get the warez out there faster, if you really are anti-warez nazis youre better of stopping homebrew right now. Sorry but thats just the way it is..
Warez happens no matter what, thats the sad truth. Same with drugs. As long there are people who want it, there will be people who are willing to deliver it.
But you need to understand WHY theres a policy on certain things. The moderators (correct me if I'm wrong) dont want this forums to be used for warez, or game copying information because not only would that attract undesired attention from Sony but can cause them to decide not to release any more information about the PSP - and even make the PSP more secure..
Homebrewing is about getting the PSP to do things that its ABLE to do, but isnt able to do right now. Linux is one example, another example is using AIM on it, etc. By doing that, it can increase the demand for PSP, which can then give sony more money. They can also charge people who screw up their PSP's, and make more money that way.
However, just because we're figuring out how the PSP works, doesnt mean we're giving people who do warez a way to do it. Thats why UMD is a hot topic - its one way to run programs on a PSP, but information about it can be used for the wrong purpose - warez. But at the same time, programs can be ran from the memory stick, and as far as I know, you cannot copy UMD to memory stick. Thus home-brewed programs can be run off the memory stick - need to find out HOW.
I'm sure by your comments you'll piss off the moderators, I wouldnt be surpraised if your post is deleted by the time I replied. Point is, posting on this board is a privledge, and you seem to have clearly mis-undestooded (on purpose or accidental) the purpose of the boards.
/rant off.
