<NO MSV TITLE TAG FOUND>

Post by Bhavna »

Hello again,

First of all i'd like to thank you'll for the prompt reply that i recieve from u'll. Anyways i am having one problem again. If i encode my videos to mp4 using PSP Video 9 then i am able to export the mp4's to the PSP , but if i create an mp4 file using some other software like Sorenson, or XiliSoft Video Converter it fails. If i add the files encoded by the above mentioned software'e then PSP Video 9 reports something like <NO MSV TITLE TAG FOUND> . What does this mean ? And of course the files do get exported but shows as incompatible data in the PSP, i.e i am not able play these files on the PSP. I know that PSP has some sort naming convention i.e MP4 followed by a unique 5 digit number and then .mp4. I even did rename these files but no success :(

Any clues why is this so.... ??

I came across an article that mentions that PSP requires lots of space per unit of video time, and that that space is on a proprietary format that Sony controls, and has made expensive relative to other memory options. I do notice that the mp4 encoded using PSP Video 9 is larger than encoded using other softwares.... Is that the reason?

How is PSP Video 9 encoding to MP4 format. Cansomeone throw light on this... I will be really grateful.

Thank You

Hello

correcting my previous post the file sizes may be differeing due to the video dimension. But still the mp4's encoded using other softwares are not getting exported to PSP using PSP Video 9.

Any ideas..

Thank You

How to properly encode video on PSP is off-topic to these forums. You'll probably have better luck discussing this with the PSP Video 9 folks.
