How many in your graveyard ?

Post by Guest »

Ok folks, some were left out of the last poll. Heres your chance to proclaim to the world the truth of your evil nefarious history!

Since the contents of any graveyard could be...erm...inexact...for purposes of counting a single unit, the minimum bones present to count as one should be any grouping of the following:

1. Shell + Mainboard + pad/memc socket
2. Mainboard + DVD + pad/memc socket
3. Shell + DVD + pad/memc socket

(the requirement of the pad/memc socket is to prevent graveyard inflation ;)

Hopefully it's not to late... Maybe I'm just simplifying what gorim said, but I'd like to say all parts should be filtered down to form as many complete consoles as possible before counting. In other words, if the part you have is missing in a different console (even if they are conflicting versions of that system.. i.e. cdrom from a v1 ps2 in a v9 ps2 case) they it can't count towards a new system.

Thats fair and accurate isn't it?

See, its people like you is why I add silly little rules. :) Problem is, I have to strike a balance between being reasonable and not writing a complete book of rules. :)

But yes, the upshot is, implicitly, chimeras are allowed. Realizing we are talking about graveyards, its pretty hard to expect completeness, much less matched pieces. ;)

Enough with the polls about broken machines already. Don't you have anything working well enough to actually dev on anymore? :)

I prefer to think of my collection as a mass-grave. ;)

My PS2 isn't dead yet & it is still working fine. It's a launch model which I purchased used on EBAY during March 2002.
