Bricked your PSP? Help me fix mine ;)

Hi all,

Well, I tried to install the PSP2TV modification that allows you to play PSP on a TV with a dual shock joypad.

Well, it's just about done - problem is that the tiny piece of plastic that meshes with the external power switch has broken off. My fault I guess, but the whole installation is a VERY tricky job.

Any way, basically I need a replacement for the button PCB fragment pictured below. It's directly beneath the buttons on the right of the unit. Or else I need to find someone who sells that particular component. The component is fully detachable.

If any one can help, I'd deeply appreciate it. Please PM if you can help.

The prices are extortionate, but if you're desperate you can get one from here. Could you tell me if you manage to get your part from somewhere else? I still need my new dpad.

ale275 - the internal power switch is on the reverse of that component, that's why nothing looks damaged. Trust me, it is.

ReKleSS - thanks for the link. The price is extortionate, and I've found a UK repair shop that will do the work for me for around the same price.

The PSP2TV mod also appears to have knackered my d-pad (it doesn't push right any more) so I think I'll just hand it over and let them fix it ;)

Many thanks for the replies.

Er, the pic *is* of the damaged part, as it is seen mounted inside the PSP. On the reverse of what you see is the internal power switch, which has a tiny plastic tooth that messes to the external power switch. This is what has broken off.

The whole component that has to be replaced is the one shown in the pic. Hence why I posted it.

The point is moot now as I've found someone who can fix it.
