Here, i am a newbye who have found interesting ps2 programing, i have some knowledgment about high level languajes (correct me if i´m wrong..., C languaje... MSDOS based (visual c++ for windows...) ) and i´m just wondering... where i begin? help is very apreciated....
Another question that i have if there is a way to create a PL-2301 USB to USB cable, if it is, there is a driagram or something that can explain it... thanks!

Havent seen a diagram over how to build a cable with the pl2301 chip, on the other hand the sony network card for the ps2 is a better choice as ps2link has more to offer than naplink.

The pl-2301 contains a whole chipset inside. Not the kind of part which is to be found anywhere. And not the kind of part which is easy to built all by yourself. It would cost you more than the spare cable itself, which is something like $30 in any good computer store (USB to USB PL-2301 networking cable)
And if you add a few buckets to the $30 of the cable, you'll fall to the price of the network adapter, which is somewhat faster and more reliable.
