PC->MC transfer

Post by spruce »

Hi,

What is the best way to transfer files to MC? Not save-files but to "install" apps, like mediaplayer or pukklink/ps2link

I have a working dev. environment (great work all ps2dev:ers) and pukklink/inlink working. (installed using cd)

I have tried nPort and that works for gamesaves, but I cant' seem to browse directories or transfer recursive directories.

I've looked at ps2ftpd and ps2netfs, but with no success so far.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

ps2netfs is what most people use at the moment, ps2ftpd is still a work in progress.
To get ps2netfs working nicely use the latest version of ps2link.
www.thethirdcreation.net/tools/ps2link-v1.23.zip

read the readme for ps2netfs, you will need to load some extra irx's before utilising mc.

Phew...

After some tries I finally installed ps2link 1.23, that was it.
I don't need to load any irx, since all are loaded by ps2link.

I also discovered the funny dms3 "buggy" backslashes that does create a lot of files in the root...

The ps2link/ps2client solution work great! Thanks alot to pukko, adresd and oopo!
