There is a PS1, PSone, PS2, PSX, and PSP. Soon to be a PS3 also. But...
what is this PSX2 you are talking about ? Never heard of it... Sony has released a PSX, but has not released as PSX2. The next generation of the PSX is the DESR-5500 and DESR-7500 models. And the original PSX did not have anything resembling PCMCIA or an expansion port.

The original Japananese playstation2 used a PCMCIA port for its expansion capability. If you want to play with PS2 pcmcia stuff, I recommend you acquire one of those off ebay.
