New to ps2 homebrew/hacks

Post by arthur92710 »

I have had the ps2 since it came out. 1 year ago I got a mod chip(I don't remember why) but when i went to install it it seemed imposable. Well I just put it in this morning. What do I do now? XD

I have seen that with a mod chip you can mad the xbox into a web server and host itunes on it. I need a low power webserver but I do not have a xbox so thats why in installed the modchip, I am hopping that you can do the same for the ps2 but I have not found anything. Can someone help me?

You might read through the "Linux 2.6 on PS2" thread in this forum. You could try setting up a web server in linux. I don't think there's any "homebrew" web serving software for the PS2. You'll find some simple ftp stuff - uLaunchELF has the ability to serve ftp requests IIRC. If ftp is enough, then look over the instructions for uLaunchELF (google for it).
