Gamepad as mouse under PS2Linux

Post by baggacfreak »

Hi,

I am not a programmer myself, but if someone out there has the time to programm a gamepad mouse driver for the ps2linux, it would be really nice :-). I want to use the second usb plug for a usbstick or even my usbhdd so please help me!

I don't know what works with ps2linux, but in ordinary homebrew I use a 3-input USB hub for one of the USB slots and plug my LaCie 320 GB HD into the second USB slot. To the hub I've then connected a USB keyboard and mouse, thus leaving one hub input free.

I think a similar setup could solve your problems.

Yes, it would, but I would have to place another device in front of my ps2. I got the mouse to work right now, but if I use the linux as a server it would be nice to connect only a keyboard to it and use the pad to do some action within the x window system.
