I'm so pleasure to use ps2link 1.24 that's rocks really :)
well, I noticed in this topic:

http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php? ... extra+conf

that been said a warning message comes when I start ps2link on console. I dont know if it's right for I made a little change in IPCONFIG.DAT, I just removed the second line:

mc0:conf.dat

and then saved file. after that I also remove file: extra.cnf in folder.

finally, I burned it to a DVD-R then goto start my console.

now it's my question here:

it still show me that warning message:

failed to open extra conf file

and in the INlink window, I saw output message became ugly characters (something like font changed and some unknown symbol)

could u help me how to make right changes in ps2link 1.24?

plus: If I keep original IPCONFIG.DAT, is that I just need to place a file called: conf.dat (write same format as file: extra.cnf for load IRX function) into mc:0?

Thanks u in advance!

Er... just ignore the warning. It's only a warning, not an error. It's just there to let you know "hey, if you were expecting that file to get opened it didn't happen" and is completely ignorable.

I don't think there is a way, (maybe a blank file? I dunno...) other than modifying the ps2link source code.. which is just not necisary :)

Does anybody know <scratch, scrtach>

as far as I can tell - ps2link takes its time deciding whether or not the extra.cnf file actually exists.

This is a bit irritating as I have set up ps2link to boot direct from the memory card - my mod has a dev.mode. Does anyone actually know a way to allow ps2link to find the file?

I assume that is it cannot find ps2netfs.irx as the other 2 files are located in the rom, is that correct? I have added ps2netfs.irx into the correct dir on mc0:, no joy :(
