Inlink / ps2Link issues.

I recently burnt a copy of ps2link to start exploring the areas of ps2development. I also installed the Inlink client v1.3.2 and replaced the exe with 1.3.7 and here are the results:

Inlink on first run prompts for config settings which i provide and it promptly crashes upon saving settings. Wants to send error reports to M$.

ps2link however on load prints to the TV screen the following:

Welcome to ps2link v1.2
Did not find path (A)!

Which I am under the impression that unless the ps2 has a floppy port somewhere that I cant seem to see is an incorrect path.

Following the above message is a White block similar to the old style cursors you would see in command line progs.

My current setup is as follows:

ps2 console : SCPH-30001 R with Flip Top Cover.
Using Swap Magic v2.0 Cd (USA Build)

PC: Windows XP Professional (sp1)

Network: Dlink DI-604 Router

I am at a loss as to the cause of these problems I would just like to get the communication working so I can start working on projects.

If anyone can tell me the reasons for the above issues and a quick fix or suggested course of action, void of spending money on a mod chip, I would greatly appreciate it.

You might want to try the Independence exploit, at http://www.ocgnet.org/0xd6/ (temporary home). Since you already have Swap Magic, you can use Sjeep's installer to install the exploit to memory card from CD-ROM. Hopefully you already own at least one PS1 game :)

Getting the latest ps2link to work with the exploit is very easy, just copy all of ps2link's files into the BxDATA-SYSTEM directory (make sure they are uppercase!) and copy ps2link.elf over BOOT.ELF. ps2link will automatically detect where it was booted from and try to load the modules from there.
