How do I install the ps2 hdd drivers?

i downloaded the ps2drv but there are no instructions on how to install them. do i need the linux kit? i can get it
The "ps2 hdd drivers" as you call them, or libhdd, is a library for developer's use and is not intended for end users.
If you are not a programmer they will not do you any good.
