PS2MENU Problem

Post by EugeneE3RD »

I am running PS2MENU via the PS2 Independence exploit & I have the offical Sony HDD in my PS2. Everytime that I load up PS2MENU, it says add the bottom that:

Copy from Psf0:
ERROR: failed to mount filesystem: -6

Also on the top of PS2MENU, it doesn't tell me how much space I have on the HDD.

Does anyone know what the problem is because I would love to be able to copy homebrew games to the HDD. PS2MENU does work because I have some elf files on my memory card (transferred thru Xport) & I can run the elfs from PS2MENU, it's just that I can't copy them to the HDD.

If I make a directory on the HDD thru the PS2 browser, PS2MENU sees the directory but it can't copy files to the directory.

Problem solved.

Well, I went to DMS3 download site at http://www.dms3.com/cgi-bin/dms3/dlcont ... DMS3_Tools & I downloaded DMS-HDD-FORMAT-1_0.ZIP & I unzipped the program & ran it using the PS2 Independence Exploit & I created a 128 MB filesystem.

I then ran PS2MENU using the PS2 Independence Exploit & the error was gone so it turns out that the problem was that I needed to create a filesystem.
