EE undocumented registers ?

Aside from having to paw through the ps2dev CVS
tree to build it myself, has anyone themselves tried
documenting all of the significant registers, hardware
addresses, etc... on the EE that are not documented
in the documentation included in the Linux Kit ?
For example, I remember someone stating that devices
like the SMAP ethernet and such are directly accessible
to the EE and so one doesn't necessarily have to go
through the IOP to talk to them. I forget where I read
this, either long ago in PS2DEV or on playstation2-linux
(BTW, whatever happened to all the old PS2DEV discussion
forums posts from long ago ? Lotsa good stuff there).
Anyhow, it would be great to see a document consolidating
all of this information, so that its all in one place. If this
hasn't been done yet, then I would be willing to do it myself
if there is interest, but I am just starting out to try to become
a serious PS2 hobbyist-developer (been for 2+ years now heh).
Thanks in advance!
