I have two things I really want to get done in the next couple of months with ps2dev. One is to get ps2sdk even partially started, and the other is release a send0r version 2 client. ps2sdk is currently being discussed, so the other is send0r..
I talked briefly with Drakonite about the protocol that send0r currently uses, and what basic features should be updated. The original send0r is a nice proof of concept, and I expect the new send0r will only be a very basic update to that, as I don't have a lot of time to spend on it.
The main thing to be added will be a set of forms so that anyone (with username/password) can upload programs to be distributed via send0r. Currently, send0r stores all binaries to a mysql database to make management a little bit easier and web friendly.
I would like the protocol used with send0r to be reasonably open to new features, so thought it would be best to see what ideas people have. Currently there is one request which will return a list of program descriptions. This is a bit restrictive and doesn't offer much scope for changes.
This single request will probably be broken up into atleast two requests. One will return a list of programs, and a second will return more details of a selected program with possibly an image, etc.
Anyone got any other thoughts?
Oobles.
PS I probalby should have written this when I was more awake. :)
