Since my friends can't really do the things with the USB cable and the ethernet and etc., is it possible to simply burn the PS2 files into a CD and then make it bootable for the PS2? If so, what type of files should I burn?

you'll need to make a system.cnf file and link to your elf, then you'll need CDGenps2 to create the image.
You'll have to set the lba of system.cnf to 12231 (I did for ps2link anyway. might be different depending on the nature of your work)
then just open up a burner (I use alcohol120) and burn it like any other cd.

(That's cds anyway, dvd-rs might be different.)

Edit - Goes without saying, you'll need a method to boot cd-rs, like disc swap or a mod chip.

Probably best I don't say, they don't like those sort of links on here.
I can e-mail it to you if you leave your e-mail addy, it's only 200k.
