Booting a new PS2 (SCPH-70004)?

Hi,

has anyone already tried booting ps2link on a new style (small)
Playstation 2? If yes, does the "Independence Day" exploit still
work?

Oh, btw, anyone near Frankfurt, Germany who could write the
appropriate files to a memory card for me?

You can probably get someone anywhere to ship you a card, I'm sure it's really chip to ship it out, it's like a few grams of weight.

Although I'm still pushing for a ps2dev store, c'mon, I would have bought an MM with independance from here like 7 months ago! MONEY!

Oh, I don't know about the 70004, sorry, I got a 500001 and I just opened it up (present from GF like a year ago, gotta love her) =P

No, the exploit does not boot on the new SCPH-7000x models, nor
does it boot on very recent SCPH-5000x models. For the latter, it is the
revision known unofficially as the V11 (GH-029 mainboard) that
does not boot the exploit. In other words, Sony fixed it.

In order to boot dev on the SCPH-7000x models, you need some
other way of booting, such as a PS2 Linux disc, a modchip, or
some swapping method.

Soks, you are not the only one to call for a PS2DEV store. I unveiled
what I though was a cool idea for such a store awhile back. Please
