newbie with a dumb question

hello everybody

i'm just starting out with programming for the ps2, and know absolutely nothing about it. i was just wondering, though, what the differences are between c++ programming and ps2 programming, as i have some experiance with that.

Its about the difference between C++ programming and Mac programming. One is a language, another is an OS/hw platform. You use one to program on to the other.

The primary difference is that, with console programming, you more often work closer to the "metal", that is, the hardware. There is usually much less of an operating system, or none at all, between your program and the hardware.

I'd compare it to the difference in traume between getting kicked by your little sister, and a couple hundred pound (ok i know nothing of horses) horse.

Wait, I'm drunk.

Oh well.

Just don't get too scared, it all works out better than Windows ever did, and hell, look how far they got.
