I know someone was working on this and I think its a good idea to try...expecially for us 1.51 and 1.52 users. What ever happened with the guy that was working on this?

If you haven't heard yet, he has stopped working on this exploit. He was using a trojan virus to try and run code through a jpeg file, well long story short the trojan blocked access to his MS and he bricked his PSP, he has since given up on coding it.

over at this (apparently now-defunct?) webforum, I posted
some code to randomly corrupt jpegs, in groups of 100.
when you view them, you sometimes get a crash:

in the meantime, you get lots of neat, distorted images.
