whoops acutally i ahve about 1.99 gb for installing cygwin from scratch, meaning the toolchain also and stuf, i just tried to install cygwin alone, and it still wasnt enough memory, wat can i delte out of it? i need devel and wget. i just want psp programming tools, cause on my desktop i ahev what the tutorial said meaning install all of devel and wget, could i leave out the ruby thing and pearl toolchain thing? could some one tell me exactly all the files i need when selecting what to install/download when installing cygwin form the install option on hte setup?
ok, it worked with plenty of room to spare thanks, now im trying to install the psptoolchain but it doesnt have the .subversion, therefore i get an error calling ./toolchain.sh, so where do i get the .subversion? thats all i need, the folder called .subversion, right? so what should i get from th cygwin installation again, then move it to the right fodler?please help, i ahve room now i can code in my room nstead on the big bulky desktop! i have an entire drive dedicated towards this! i have about 1.83 gb left on that drive, so what should i get?
when you say you "downloaded svn and all the stuf.." That implies you downloaded a .tar.gz file or something and did a make, make install type of thing.
I meant you should use the cygwin setup program to install svn. The setup program keeps track of all your installs, so if you just select subversion now, it will keep everything else intact and just add subversion. you can use the setup program to remove things as well by clicking on the rotate icon.
It is possible that subversion or the toolchain script isnt working due to other dependancies.
I installed a default cygwin install with "devel" and "wget" added to install and run the toolchain script (not the new toolchain). it was smooth and works well.
