Some users of PspKanji have reported that on their 2.71 and 3.03C, the program kinda get resized to half it size and show doubled on left and right size with color slightly off.
This is not happening on 1.5 and 3.02B.
This is something that sometime happened to me while deving, but a simple RebuildAll usually fixed. To me, it kinda looks like a wrong pixel depth.
Any ideas why the behavior disparencies between Firmware?
Gu problems with custom FW2.71 and FW3.03C
Well, I just tried the current released version of PSP Kanji on my 3.03 OE-C PSP and it works fine. It looks exactly the same as it did in 3.02 OE and earlier versions of 3.03 OE.
It looks like it's a building issue, not a library issue. Maybe people who build it themselves are forgetting to do a "make clean" before rebuilding when they update it for the new firmware version.

Well, given that only SOME report it, it's more likely something they've done to their PSP... maybe some incompatible plugin they feel they can't live without. Custom XMB icons... custom gameboot... different XMB font (that one causes all kinds of trouble depending on the font)... you really need more info about what's been done to the ones reporting trouble.
I'll have to try running a few things, then run the kanji program. That might tell us if it's an exit state for the other programs that is causing the trouble. Maybe something is left in a state that causes issues. If you notice it doing it more after one particular program, let me know and I'll try it. My PSP is clean - the only thing custom on my PSP (besides the firmware) is the wallpaper. I don't run any of the other stuff. No custom icons or fonts or sounds...
Thanks a lot.
My Psp is also cleanly installed with 3.02B without any customisation.
I sent a new version to a person that was experiencing the issue, and it now work for him :/
Someone mentionned that turning off the option 'Hide corrupt icon' fix it for him, but that might just have been to reboot like hellcat mentionned.
Maybe re-setting the display mode every frame instead of once at the start of the program, would help :P

I have seen this even when running the 1.5 firmware, and I should have a repro case that I got sent to me a while back that I could take a look at to see why it happens.
If I recall correctly this problem showed its ugly face if the screen wasn't cleared properly at least once on program startup, but I'll have to take a closer look.
