Slim speaker damage?

Post by swordsman »

Hey guys, I was cleaning my Slim today when I see dusts inside those 2 speaker vents so I use my mouth and blow it, I just wonder if doing this will damage my speakers, thanks for your answer.

No it wont hurt to blow however you might want to consider using compressed air.

P.S in the future post in one post and dont ask non development questions here in this forum..

Thank you

I'd swear this is the same guy that posted elsewhere the same exact question... he doesn't like the reply and is shopping for an answer.

In that case: If you blow your PSP, it will eventually 'blow up'.

Get a spare one, or keep it in it's box :)
If not actually, then potentially.

I've never taken a PSP apart, so I can't say what speakers they use. I'd expect from the size that they're probably electro-mechanical hearing-aide transducers, not "real" speakers at all. If they are, then you don't have to worry about it in the slightest.

On the phat the speakers are at the bottom, and the holes in the front are
vents for the massive bass reflex enclosure that shakes the ground.
Don't know if they've changed the arrangement for the slim.

They are real speakers covered in foam if I remember correctly,
if you want to call them real because they have a coil and magnet, yes ;)
If not actually, then potentially.
