That's little old... not bad, but there's better, and you would have found it with some searching. Just this once, I'll be nice and give you a URL.

That's the very latest tutorial on setting up the toolchain and major libraries in Ubuntu.

The problem is that there are dozens of threads on setting up the toolchain, both in linux and Windows (and occasionally in OSX) because noobies are too lazy to read old threads and use search. Some of us old-timers get fed up and jump on them when they do that. People here are SUPPOSED to be developers, so if you can't even do something as simple as setup the toolchain when there are dozens of threads on it, we KNOW these same people will be back with new threads on setting up the libraries (also covered multiple times), doing simple apps (covered by the samples included with the sdk), doing graphics operations (covered by samples, tutorial, and simple apps), etc., etc., etc.. So we try to nip that in the bud by jumping on them right off so that they realize they're on their own for the simple stuff any developer should be able to handle alone.

Yea.
But, i have had experience with C/C++ so i wont need help with the stuff covered in the samples of the SDK. I've just never actually used it like this before.
It's weird, hard to explain. But at least i have my environment set up now =).
