Currently the PSP2000 component output uses YPbPr color space, is it possible to force RGB instead?
This should depend on the chipset that outputs video, but it has been done on both the PS2 and the Xbox.
Any ideas?
RGB-output from component on PSP2000?
don't know how the PSP hardware works and if it's software-tweakable (i own a phat), but if you search on the net, there are many circuits to do the conversion you say... you can search for YUV to RGB, since Y pB pR is a somehow non-linear version of YUV, but if you're not too deep into it, they're quite the same. If you're trying to connect your PSP to some device that has not the right connector, try s-video (it's quite omni-present and you can DIY the cable from YUV components with cord, connector and a capacitor for 5€)
Since s-video cable don't support games it's out of the question. My plan is to connect the PSP to devices such as beamers or LCD-screens that handles sync on green. (which both my monitor and beamer does).
I know of devices, but since most of these are bigger than the psp it kinds of ruins it all.
I don't know where to start to look if this is possible in hardware or not.

RGB output is not in the specs,so I guess that only way to convert it is by software - although it won't be easy, and it WILL consume cpu time. Not very smart idea if you want to do that and play games at the same time. Does anyone here knows name of TV chip inside Slim? That would help us very much :D
