Argh...
the right arrow on the directional pad is stuck and i am not able to use my psp anymore.
is it a known problem ?
PSP right arrow problem ?
Same problem here!
After two months of playing with the PSP (JPN), the right button is acting up and sometimes, it's stuck! Keeps scrolliing menus to the right and I don't know exactly why.
Seems very similar to the Square button problem that Sony USA has confirmed and is offering fixes for (one other news article said something like 0.6% of the PSPs out there have encountered this square button problem). Wonder if they'll fix the right pad button problem, too?
sigh.... you'd think they'd have time to make it bulletproof before release!

Possible cause for the button issue?
Since reading about this button problem, I took a closer look at the button design and noticed that the PSP controller pads are not symetric. Interestingly enough, both the square and the right arrow key are short changed when it comes to the rubber mat that lies under the button.
You should be easily able to get to this pad by removing the top of the PSP. This only takes four screws, and may or may not void the warranty (depending on how well your sticker is placed). I could actually remove the top cover of my PSP without hosing this sticker.
My guess is that the pad gets stuck when it rubs up against the LCD screen. You could probably fix this with a little lubricant of some sort...

First off for all NEWBIES (USE SEARCH BUTTON LIKE I DID BEFORE I POST ABOUT THIS ISSUE).....
it really works!
------------------------------------------------
Anyways, my 1.0 jpn psp just recieved this issue.
But instead of my right Button, its my UP or Down.
I cant Scroll down, its constanntly scrolling UP.
Please someone Help me what to do... The Above post needs to be a bit specific, lubricant and whatnot... Im scared of opening the PSP up and not able to put it back to normal...
I have a tendacy of opening things up (Radios, CD players, etc) and Always manage t mess something else up (Unless its a Computer)
