PSP 3000 In-Microphone as 3rd way of Audio Input

Post by mypspdev »

Hi all! Any possibility or experience using PSP3000 built-in Microphone for Audio Input, same way as Socom or GoCam inputs?
Thanks and best regards to all.

Do the same way as you would for a normal psp mircophone
PSHN - Playstation Hacking Network
PSX/PS1 - HACK - Game Shark
PS2 - HACK - Swap
PSP - HACK - Pandora
PS3 - ?

Which one of the three microphones is the normal PSP microphone?
Talkman, Go Cam, and Socom Mic all have different code to read them.

I might assume you mean the Socom since it isn't a USB device,
but have you even tried this or are you posting just for fun again?
If not actually, then potentially.

Yes dear Art, clear and right question!!

I'm trying to work with the embedded microphone of PSP3000 using the Socom source code for audio input, at first I've to detect PSP3000 model and differentiate the behaviour.

If you too are working on it (Audiomechanica v.9), may be we can share experiences.

Wuold you like to share Pocketsphinx, too, for speech recognition, fully compatible with SDK?

regards to Art and everybody

Would love to, but I don't actually have a solution for the internal mic, or a PSP 3000.
I was having a dig at Darius for making another fairly useless post.

Let me prepare an archive with Pocketsphinx / Sphinxbase usable for you with PSP SDK.

I started using SOCOM code as it is for PSP3000 microphone: noises are received and send to speakers... so audio input is working, may be just a frequency gap is to be managed to have the right audio streaming.

Wow, I'd love to use voice recognition, thanks :)

I'd have to say the Socom mic is considered "normal" since its the most common and most commonly faked one.
