alright... i have a question...

i'm seeing a couple products here...

http://store.yahoo.com/insidecomputer/cf5in1adform.html

and

http://www.memorycity.com/shop/prod_sho ... =TS0MMS2CF

here

designed to convert MS to Compact Flash... hell the first one is designed to convert several cards into compact flash..

now how hard would it be to go the other way... Compact Flash -> Memory Stick?

Pyro, the short answer is no, it won't work. Those devices do not have the circuitry to do the conversions backwards. This issue has been beaten to death on this thread:
http://www.psp-linux.org/forums/index.p ... ;f=5&t=134

If you don't feel like reading the 6 page thread, seawolf's post explains in detail what's going on:
http://www.psp-linux.org/forums/index.p ... ost&p=1930

The above thread has interesting discussions on how a few programmers and hardware engineers are going to create a memorystick breakout cable which will give you the ability to use a compact flash, IDE, or SD cards in place of a memory stick. Nothing has been created yet as far as I know, but all of the dimensions of the MS, and even some source code have been posted already.

If you still need more information on the Memory Stick, I've compiled a nice fact sheet about it on my blog:
