ROM Data Anyone ?

Post by Vyrus001 »

well with the information currently avalible it would seem that the gateway to hacking the remaning fimware and being able to ultamatly run full scale home brew code is one of the fallowing 3 options...

1) find the key and crack the encryption so that we can encrypt our binarys and run them

2) find out how to flash the current os and replace it with our own (find out how to "boot from memory card and install our own os")

3) mod chip around the crypto

With that being said, i beleve our best option is the 1st one, it;s just a matter of ROM snarfing the contens of the psp and reverce engenering the code we find. wich brings me to the question that prompted me to create this topic

has anybody snarfed psp roms, and if so, where are the bin dumps online so that i and others can help with the decryption? (i do not have the equipment to snarf the roms myself, not to mention i am a major n00b at hardware hacking).

As a new person anywhere, it is usually a good idea to check the rules of the place you arrived at.

In this case, the forum rules here state that asking for copyrighted materials is against said rules.

Please read thoroughly the other rules that I didn't yet mention.
