Free MS Space

Post by 71M »

Hi,
Could somebody please tell me how I can get the amount of free space available on a memory stick.

Thanks,

When USB connected to a PC, right-click the removable drive and select 'properties.' Alternatively, when you hover over Music, Photos, or Movies on the PSP's menu, it displays how much free space is left on the MS.

Sorry, I should've stated that I wish to find the amount of free space from within my program :)
I can't find any file IO functions in the SDK that can do this.
There must be some way to find this information as the PSP dashboard displays the free space.

Thanks for your reply anyway,

I'd be willing to bet there is a devctl or ioctl command to return the free space on the stick, alas I don't know it :) But that might be the first place to start looking, one or more games must use it somewhere.

XxBAOxX, do not regale us with your tales of ripping UMD games. We have a strict policy against such discussion. This is your only warning.
