ok im a noob to these forums but i was wondering since GTA only works on 2.00 will there be a break though in 2.00 in the near future for homebrew? I heard there is some type of hacks going on in 2.00 but nothing big. Does anyone predict when or ever this going to happen?
thanks
homebrew on 2.00
Re: homebrew on 2.00
I didn't tested it, but there is an EBOOT.PBP loader for 2.0, see http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=3866 , which at least works with a special user mode version of Lua Player, which means you can play (nearly) everything from http://www.luaplayer.org/gallery/imzack wrote:ok im a noob to these forums but i was wondering since GTA only works on 2.00 will there be a break though in 2.00 in the near future for homebrew? imzack,
just in case you didn't notice: ps2dev is all about homebrew development. No UMD ISO loader stuff and crap like that. Yeah, I know about the GTA issue, and I'd hate to give up homebrew to be able to play GTA, but please don't discuss stuff like that here, OK?
The current 2.0 eboot loader won't help, anyway. No kernel mode, no UMD emulation - as easy as that.

The readme file in the loader package contains all you need to know. You can also view the readme on the website linked in my signature.imzack wrote:i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get the 2.00 eboot to work on my 2.00 psp and where do i put the homebrew files?
Finally, for general help with getting started, you could visit the official 2.0 loader forum at www.pspupdates.com - again, a direct link is available at the website linked in my signature.
Got a v2.0-v2.80 firmware PSP? Download the eLoader here to run homebrew on it!
