libgim_picture IS a leaked library from Sony, but it is quite amazing...
( If this has been discussed before, feel free to delete this. Or if this is not allowed to be discussed here, just delete it )
Looking through the un-compiled library, it has just about everything you need to load and display BMP, TGA and Sony's PS2 TIM format (tm2) images. What with what I have being version 1.5.0 and a logged date of 2005-02-15, you can guess its for 1.5 image types supported. You can resize, crop, animate (by means of this, I believe its for the slideshow option since GIF isnt supported, unless TM2 holds animations), zoom and few other things.
Even though this isn't exactly an act of reverse engineering, should this still be made into a library, despite it being leaked? Sorry for not being 'in the know' about how the toolchain operates (adding librarys wise) so please bare with me, and as I said, if this shouldnt be discussed for legal reasons, feel free to delete this.

You and your mind games groepaz ;-)
Im 45% sure someone will accept this and edit the makefile to extract appropriately (currently its designed to compile straight into the directory folder) and 55% sure this will be turned down on the count of its leaked from Sony. It's ironic this download came from them. Just it had a password on it. There are ways to get through it.

Leaked or not, easily obtained or not... unless you have permission to use the code, say via a license, you aren't allowed to use it.
I'd recommend dropping it and taking no chances you are treading where you shouldn't, especially since it doesn't sound like anything that SDL_image and SDL_gfx doesn't already do. Its just not worth it.

Well, sg57, you can still use the lib yourself! Sony may not do anything about the leaked SDK right now, but if any content from it is found in the FREE sdk, then Sony will be able to ban homebrew for good with a valid excuse: source code from the official sdk.
Compile it, use it, distribute it, but by yourself and at your own risks :)
