where can i grab the src for the new added jpeg support which is referenced in graphics.cpp?

EDIT: NOTE: yes, i have installed the standard libs for jpeg in cygwin...

Are you still working at PhysicsFS? Perhaps someone can help you? As noted in another topic, it is important for security reasons, because with the current Lua Player version you can write files everywhere. This would be even worse when introducing the new PRX library concept.
