lua player on future psp diskmag?

Post by noeska »

I do not know if there are already disk mags with umd. I know there are ps2 mags with cd's with ps2 demo's. I i remember correctly one included a basic interpetor for the ps2, you got it for free if you send in your registration details for your ps2. Is their any chance this lua player could get some deal like that. I believe that way it wil also be useable on the european psp.

Sony seems pretty hellbent on stopping homebrew so I doubt they'd go for it.

well, maybe in a year from now, when luaplayer has taken advantage of all the nice things the psp has to offer.. sending it out as-is would be a wasted opportunity, imho.

Some ppl say (thinking on sony...) that running homebrew is a security risk...
further, why should you ship umd's with luaplayer when you can't use it on a up2date-psp? (won't run oon 1,5x and 2.o)
i bet my ass that sony will NEVER sign a homebrew application
even less if it enables ppl to write programs (which could harm the psp or allow you to hack it *rofl*)
i wish it would come that far that sony removes the 'protection' and let ppl do what they want
(guess even more ppl would buy it then)
