It is the UMD_VIDEO und UMD_AUDIO part of the US PSP Sampler Disc.

The *.MPS files are in MPEG-PS format with a resolution of 720x480.

Does this mean we can run videos off the memory stick at full resolution? Can we use it to somehow spoof the PSP into thinking our video is on a UMD?

I have done some quick searching and found out that .MPS comes from the MPEG family (can contain multiple audio streams too), but the only application from what I can find that can convert items to this format is I-Author; but I can't find that for download anywhere.

In fact this has very little to do with anything at all.
