PSP Video Resolution

Post by theBishop »

Hi,

i've had some luck converting DVD movies to PSP-compliant MP4 with the resolution 360x208. It stretches to fit the PSP screen quite nicely.

However, now i'm trying to convert a DVD of TV Episodes and its 4:3 resolution. I read that PSP needs resolution divisible by 16, so i did some math and found 368x272 to be the best. Except now that i've compressed the video, the PSP is saying "Unsupported Data".

Does the ATOMchanger utility "unlock" the the resolution i need, or do i need to find another app, or is 368x272 simply illegal? if so, what's the best 4:3 res i can do?

What does this have to do with software development?

320x240 is best you can do for 4:3
format video conversion for psp

your resolution is not 4:3 aspect ratio
368x272 != 4:3

ATOMchanger is not needed for
this standard resolution (320x240 or 4:3)

3gpconverter can handle your
4:3 encoding needs
