Running Beebem Emulator

Post by stonepimp »

Hi folks,

I am trying to find some information on what I can do to run Beebem legally. I have read the site rules and hope I don't break any as this is my first post (please warn and I'll edit if anything dodgy).

I still own a BBC B up in my loft with old classics such as Planetoid, Monsters and Elite but would love to get them running on my PS2. I have managed to run Beebem on my PC and have the three ROMS accordingly.

I have also purchased an Action Replay Max Evo card but this doesn't run it. It appears that the Beebem elf tries to read from the CD.

I have also installed the independence exploit (amazing!) and have the beebem elf detected in either my USB pen or Memory card but neither runs beebem as again I think it tries to read from the CD.

What can I do legally to get this to work ?

- can I install a flip-top on my PS2 (is this legal?) as I'd rather not go into soldering or modding my PS2 in any other way.

Does anyone have any experience with Beebem ?

Hope you guys can recommend something.

thanks
SP.
