PSP(and other PC controllers) as a PS2 controller.

I've heard of the process of sticking the playstation controller wires in to the printer or parallel port and using it as a PC control. Can you reverse this process? Putting in the cord and hooking it up to the ps2 and then using a game controller, program it to send the necessary commands to the PS2?

(And then use wifi controller for PSP to use it as a game controller)

I'd greaty give it try if someone points me in the right direction.
