I've spent quite a lot of time doing research on the CBE and the RSX. I have collected as much info as I could find on the PS3s Hardware. I am sure you guys will enjoy this. If there's anything that I could add please let me know! But anyways check it out guys! http://train.psp3d.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=8

From those docs:
Linux kernel is running on the top of hypervisor. Devices and other system resources are virtualized
Since the BD drive is basically ATAPI device, Linux can issue ATAPI commands by ioctl. Some of ATAPI commands have been rejected by the hypervisor call because of security issues.
Currently X server uses virtual frame buffer to render its image. No hardware acceleration is supported under Linux.
PS3 game pad ... Bluetooth mode is not supported by Linux.
Not too unexpected.

i wonder how much nagging needs to take place until we get gl es there. :)

the rest looks cool, like it will be possible to create a nice linux-kernel based launcher, and probably other distros aswell.

yay.
