my daughter powered off her psp during an game update when it said "don't power off unit"
It is now dead. Light comes on for a few secs and then powers off.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If it is not a TA-082, you can use the UP mod-chip for the PSP to un-brick a PSP. Other than that, if your PSP is not under warranty, there are people who advertise on PSP sites who will un-brick your PSP for a fee (usually $75-$100).
That's about all the help you'll get here... this is just a development page.

There's a new mod-chip coming out that is supposed to be compatible with the TA-082/86, but as far as I know, it's not out yet.ai3gtmc30 wrote:correct me if im wrong but i tought theres a UP for TA-082?J.F. wrote:If it is not a TA-082, you can use the UP mod-chip for the PSP to un-brick a PSP.
