Value of the Serial[30] and motherboards
Hello everyone,
It's me again but now, I want also to know what is the value of the Serial[30] in the idstorage for motherboards TA-85, TA-85 v2, TA-88...
Besides, I know that 0x01 is the value of the Serial[30] of TA-79/081 and 0x02 is the value of the Serial[30] of TA-82/086.
Thanks to everyone who help me :)
PS: I'm apologize for my bad English because I'm French

Ah that's ok ^^. The serial number is located in the key 0×050. To know motherboard model of the psp, we must see byte 30 (= Serial[30]) of this key

Okay... I think you meant BYTE 30 though. :)
Here's the first 96 bytes of key 0x50 for the 2001IS.
EDIT: Here's the same bytes from a 2004IS... note the minor difference.

So you can see moonlight was correct - serial[30] is 3.30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 03 04

yes thank you very much JF ^^ the minor difference is 04 for one and 05 for other :). So 0x03 maybe means that psp have a TA-085. But what's the value of the byte 30 of TA-085 v2 (0x0x?), TA-088... ?

nope. At the moment only video umd's are using region things, and the fake region cannot make umd videos of one region to work on other.Dariusc123456 wrote:But when faking the region, does it really give its full affect to run umd games maybe from other regions?
Now, however, I know how to do that.
