Thanks for the replies. I'll try this now.
Actually, i've got an workaround hint i'd like to try first.
I've noticed the following:
When i press SELECT on my program, it runs another loop function, for the user to choose which protocol he likes to use. When i turn the PSP off while in that loop, no freezes whatsoever.
So i'll try to run a loop on HOME press. Kinda dumb, but i'll give it a try.

What do you guys usually do for reading key presses/releases?
That method you've mentioned is interessant. I'll try that too. Thanks again.

If you like having your programs reliability be one in a hot springs saturday new moon night, then this is a possible solution, yes.
If you want your program to just work as intended, get rid of all infinite loops.
