How to edit a savegame?
Is it encrypted?
Is it checksummed?

I want to try to edit some game savegames

Save Games are encrypted, but can be decrypted is you use hellcat save-game decryptor.

You wont be able todo much unless you know what to edit because every game has a different save-game value, so not every one will be the same.

Firmware level encryption can be transparently removed using Hellcat's plugin. Any more protections in the decrypted file is completely implemented in the game code and will require manual analysis of the file structure or even the game code.
