Control audio output to headphone or speakers

Post by KeithE »

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to control where the audio is output to?

For example, could you send audio to the speakers even though there are headphones plugged in?

I'm asking because I'm working on an accessory that plugs into the headphone/remote port, and I want to be able to have audio from the speakers while my accessory is plugged in. I want the headphone jack to be plugged in for mechanical stability.

Thanks!

As far as I know, in most devices the headphone/speaker connection is mechanical - if something is inserted into the headphone port, the speakers are physically disconnected. I've seen nothing to indicate that the PSP works otherwise.

In TalkMan you can enable the PSP speakers while having the headphones plugged in, so the PSP is able to do this...

Best regards!
